Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is a health care specialty that evaluates, diagnoses, and treats disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Physical therapy is provided by physical therapists, who are licensed health care professionals with a master’s or doctorate level degree from an accredited college.
When someone suffers loss of function or pain due to disease, injury, or mechanical dysfunction, they often will seek care from a physical therapist.
Sports Specific Therapy
To any athlete an injury is frustrating. When the injury is specific to a movement required in the sport you play, frustrations multiply and can easily get overwhelming. Whether your sport is golf, tennis, soccer, basketball, running, skiing, or hiking – giving up your sport is most likely not an option.
At Butte Premier Physical Therapy we cater to a wide range of athletes from amateur to professional. The combination of exercises targeting the athlete’s specific sport and/or mechanics of the sport will make for the best end result.
Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is pain which persists longer than it should, from months to even years, beyond explanation. It is a serious public health issue; complex and elusive. Chronic pain can result in severe debilitation, frustration and depression.
Treating chronic pain is never a cookbook approach. A multidisciplinary approach integrating multiple medical disciplines is necessary. Our interventions are hands-on, encompass the entire system, focus on manual techniques, neurodynamics, exercises and cardiovascular work, home programs and lifestyle changes.
